China, 29th Aug 2026 — Global parcel shipping is entering a more demanding phase. E-commerce brands now need packaging that protects products, controls freight costs, supports faster fulfillment, and meets stronger sustainability expectations.

Against this background, GT GROUP is expanding its portfolio of Protective Envelopes for Shipping, including conventional bubble mailers, biodegradable mailers, Anti-Shock Bubble Bags for Electronics, and Laser Metallic Bubble Mailers.

For B2B packaging buyers, the answer to the age old question of package pricing now extends to cushioning performance, envelope structure, material thickness, sealing reliability, package weight, printability, and packaging compatibility with automated and/or manual order fulfillment.

2026 Shipping Challenges Are Changing Protective Packaging Design

Parcel delivery networks employ processes that expose small packages to hard drops, repeated compression, friction, package sorting-related vibration, and moisture during transit. Packages that do not match the product well result in damaged goods, excessive void fill, increased shipping costs, and slower package fulfillment in the warehouse.

The major packaging issues of 2026 will be:

•   Reducing product movement in the package

•   Packaging volume control and weight reduction

•   Improving tear and puncture resistance

•   Packaging heel reduction

•   Ease of full-case fulfillment

•   Balancing cushioning protection and sustainability

•   Uniform shipping dimensions for high volumes

•   Combining protection and shipping brand presentation

The requirement of these shipping protection features will grow beyond having generic shipping bags and envelopes.

When to Use Bubble Mailers Instead of Boxes

Knowing when to use Bubble mailers is important as they are not a direct replacement for boxes.

Bubble mailers are an appropriate solution for packaging small, lightweight items that do not require extensive structural rigidity, but do require some level of impact protection.

Shipping Requirement-Bubble Mailer Suitability-Typical Application

  • Scratch protection    (High)       ( Jewelry, accessories, coated parts)
  • Moderate impact protection    (High)       ( Cosmetics, small devices, samples)
  • Low package weight        ( High )              (Cross-border e-commerce)
  • Rigid crush protection         (Limited)       (Fragile glass or heavy equipment)
  • Moisture resistance         (Material-dependent)         (Documents, apparel, electronics)
  • Brand presentation           (High with printing)           (DTC and promotional shipments)

For buyers deciding When to Use Bubble Mailers, product weight, edge sharpness, fragility, shipping distance, and handling conditions should be considered together.

An envelope that is too large allows excessive internal movement. One that is too tight can place stress on seams and seals. GT GROUP therefore supports customized dimensions so packaging can be matched more closely to the packed product.

Protective Envelopes for Shipping Require More Than an Outer Film

The performance of Protective Envelopes for Shipping depends on several structural variables.

GT GROUP unifies outer-film production and other procedures in its manufacturing cycle, including laminating, printing, converting, sealing, and quality inspection. Because of this, GT GROUP is able to better control key parameters of packaging.

Critical Design Parameters
•   Outer layer: Influences the degree of puncture resistance and the degree of moisture resistance as well as printability.

•   Bubble layer: Forms a zone of cushioning air between product and impact.

•   Overall thickness: Optimal design of the cushioning layer to the degree of protection.

•   Seam strength: Prevents the side or bottom from opening during parcel handling.

•   Self-sealing strip: Reduces the time required for packaging and the use of tape.

•   Internal dimensions: The depth of the enclosed package must be considered in addition to lateral dimensions.

•   Printing surface: Used to print the logos, instructions, and information and to support private-label programs.

This combination is particularly important for B2B buyers sourcing in bulk in a variety of SKUs.

Design of Anti-Shock Bubble Bags for Electronics Requires Application Specific Knowledge

With the increased need for packaging for chargers, adapters, cables, sensors, and small control components and electronic accessories, packaging of compact consumer devices have become very important.

Damage from contact is a very high risk when transporting electronics, due to their corners, surfaces, connectors, and housings.

Therefore, Anti-Shock Bubble Bags for Electronics must be specified as per the conditions of the product.

Technical Factor    Packaging Function
Bubble cushioning    Reduces shock transmission
Surface softness    Helps reduce scratching
Correct bag dimensions    Limits movement during shipment
Strong seams    Maintains enclosure integrity
Moisture-resistant outer layer    Protects against logistics exposure
Customized thickness    Level of protection fits the weight of the product

For sensitive electronic components, buyers must determine if additional protection from electrostatic discharge is also needed. Standard bubble cushioning provides mechanical protection, however it must not be assumed as a solution for ESD control.

Laser Metallic Bubble Mailers Combine Protection With Presentation

The branding of shipping packaging in direct-to-consumer sales has made branded mailers a distinguishing aspect of a brand’s packaging.

Laser Metallic Bubble Mailers integrate an attention-grabbing external coating with protection packaging. They are a good option when both the product appearance and protection are important during shipping.

Typical products include:

•   Beauty Products

•   Cosmetics

•   Fashion Accessories

•   Jewelry and Gift Items

•   Promotional Items

•   Subscription Products

Packages for Influencer Campaigns

Premium Orders
For our B2B customers, we offer modifications to the Laser Metallic Bubble Mailers including size, print, packaging appearance, and specific packaging specifications to further help our customers retain their identity.

Sustainability Vs. Specifications
More often than not, packaging specifications include sustainability targets. GT GROUP has introduced biodegradable bubble mailers made of a combination of plant starch, PLA, and PBAT. These materials combine renewable and biodegradable packaging with flexible cushioning.

Each component performs a specific function:

•   Plant starch provides support to biodegradation.

•   PLAs provide strength and dimensional stability.

•   PBAT enhances flexibility, toughness, and film formability.

•   Bubble cushions absorb impact during parcel transport.

GT GROUP claims that biodegradable mailers will decompose within 3-6 months under industrial composting, and within 6-12 months in home composting.

For B2B customers, sustainability has its tradeoffs with packaging performance. A biodegradable mailer should include all of the following:

•   Strong sealing and seam stability

•   Resistance to tearing and puncturing

•   Reliable cushioning

•   Stable, consistent printing and conversion

•   Satisfactory storage stability

Reducing the environmental impact of shipping packages should not make protective mailers less effective at cushioning packages for use in e-commerce and transport across international shipping lanes.

China, 29th Aug 2026  — FaceLCD Hong Kong Limited will expand its offering around Industrial TFT LCD products and solutions to cater to the changing display needs and requirements of global B2B markets. FaceLCD has the industry experience to provide TFT-LCD Panels and touch screens, LCD driver boards, and comprehensive display solutions and integration for industrial control, medical, automotive, security, smart and embedded HMI devices and applications.

In 2026, as the integration of visual displays and client connectivity increases on industrial devices, buyers will consider more factors when selecting a display solution including; the readability of the display, the touch interface, the ease of integration, the longevity of the product, and the degree of customization offered. The selection of a display solution will transcend the traditional focus on size and resolution.

FaceLCD addresses these challenges through modular product design and engineering support.

Industrial Display Buyers Face More Complex Design Challenges

What Is TFT LCD Display and how it should be integrated into a new product, the answer goes beyond the TFT panel itself.

A complete display system can include:

•   TFT LCD panel

•   Backlight unit

•   Driver IC

•   FPC and connectors

•   Touch panel

•   Cover glass

•   Optical bonding layer

•   LCD controller board

•   Mechanical mounting structure

These LCD Display Components must work together electrically, mechanically, and optically.

A mismatch in one component can lead to delayed development. Common problems include incompatible interfaces, incorrect voltage levels, short FPC routing, limited brightness, unstable touch response, excessive heat, and unsuitable viewing angles.

FaceLCD therefore works with customers from the early selection stage instead of treating the LCD as an isolated component.

Wider TFT LCD Choices for Different Equipment Designs

FaceLCD supplies TFT-LCD products from approximately 0.96 inch to 49 inch.

Available configurations include:

Selection Area-Available Options-Typical Applications

  • Display Size(0.96″–49″ ) (Handheld devices to industrial terminals)
  • Resolution (QVGA, WVGA, XGA, HD, Full HD and custom )      (HMI, medical, automotive, commercial systems)
  • Interface  ( MCU, RGB, LVDS, MIPI, eDP, HDMI )     (Embedded boards and industrial PCs)
  • Panel Technology     (TN, IPS)       (Standard or wide-angle viewing)
  • Touch    ( Capacitive, resistive, non-touch)          (Finger, glove, stylus or display-only use)
  • Brightness       (Standard or high brightness)            (Indoor and outdoor applications)
  • Customization        (FPC, connector, cover glass, backlight, bonding)      (OEM and ODM projects)

Small displays can support meters, handheld inspection equipment, and portable terminals. Medium-size displays are widely used in HMI panels, appliances, vehicle systems, and medical electronics. Larger displays can support industrial PCs, kiosks, POS terminals, and monitoring systems.

Sunlight Readability Becomes More Important

Outdoor equipment creates another challenge.

A standard LCD indoors may show clarity but may contrast poorly in direct sunlight. For our projects, FaceLCD can provide a Sunlight Readable LCD Module that features an increased Backlight brightness with a custom project optical design.

When it comes to design, the following can be considered:

•   Increased Backlight output

•   Optical Bonding

•   Anti-glare or A/R cover glass

•   Contrast enhancement

•   Backlight current

•   Thermal Control

•   Sealing for outdoor protection

•   Brightness Levels

High-brightness backlights may cause increased power consumption and heat. FacelCD balances brightness with the housing, the power system, the intended working environment, and the viewing distance.

This method allows the industrial OEMs to balance the Readability and Reliability of the display.

Color Display Interfaces for Modern User Designs

More and more industrial products are offering graphical menus, icons, live data, images from the camera, and overlays of visual data.

A Color LCD Display Module can provide a supporting interface, and product designers have more options regarding resolution, viewing angle, brightness, and touch integration.

When operators need to see information in multiple viewing angles, IPS structures are the more suitable option. When cost, response speed, and viewing angle control are more beneficial than TN technology, IPS structures are to be used.

Inspection equipment and medical devices may need stable imaging and consistent performance. Interfaces for automotive and smart devices usually emphasize design, a compact structure, and flexibility for integration over features of touch responsiveness and Visual displays.

FaceLCD matches the display structure to the application instead of applying one specification to every project.

Touch Design Responds to Different 2026 User Scenarios

Touch performance is another major purchasing concern.

Consumer-style interfaces have raised expectations for smooth interaction. At the same time, industrial operators may wear gloves or use equipment in environments where water, dust, vibration, or electrical interference are present.

FaceLCD supports both capacitive and resistive touch technologies.

Capacitive touch can provide:

•   Smooth multi-touch interaction

•   Customized cover glass

•   Logo and border printing

•   Optical bonding

•   Project-specific touch tuning

Resistive touch remains practical for:

•   Glove operation

•   Stylus input

•   Industrial control equipment

•   Applications that need pressure-based operation

Non-touch configurations are also available for equipment controlled by buttons, switches, or rotary controls.

Supporting B2B Buyers Beyond the LCD Panel

For B2B customers, supply stability can be as important as display performance.

A panel that works during prototype development may become difficult to source during mass production. Design changes can also create additional certification, tooling, firmware, and testing costs.

As an Industrial LCD Display Supplier, FaceLCD supports customers through panel selection, drawing review, interface matching, sample evaluation, touch integration, and driver board configuration.

Its service model includes:

•   A-grade LCD panel sourcing

•   Engineering review before production

•   100% inspection before shipment

•   Testing of display, backlight, touch, and appearance

•   Stock support for common display sizes

•   Flexible MOQ for prototypes and trial production

•   Support for repeat production programs

•   Customized FPC, connector, backlight, cover glass, and housing requirements

This approach is designed for buyers who need more than a standard catalog part.

INTERRECORD and the Register of Records of Russia confirmed the continuous twin-tip session at Deception Island on March 12, 2026.

Russia, 29th Aug 2026 – Aleksandr Kuzmin, a 16-year-old Russian athlete, completed a continuous kitesurfing session on a twin-tip board in Whaler Bay, Deception Island, Antarctica. The session was recognized in two separate record categories and officially confirmed on March 12, 2026 by the International Record Registration System (INTERRECORD) and the Register of Records of Russia (RRR-37607-2026), the national registrar widely known in the media as the “Russian Book of Records.”

The INTERRECORD expert panel confirmed two independent achievements:

– Youngest athlete to complete a continuous twin-tip kitesurfing session on water in Antarctica – an INTERRECORD world record, set at 16 years and 255 days.

– First water kitesurfing session in Antarctica by a Russian athlete – a separate national category recorded in the Register of Records of Russia.

Kuzmin completed the session in water temperatures of about 0°C and air temperatures of about -5°C, in gusty Antarctic winds. He maintained a continuous course with no stop, kite relaunch, or equipment change, meeting the continuity criteria for both categories.

The session

Kuzmin entered the water in full gear: an open-cell wetsuit, an inflatable kite, a twin-tip board, a harness, and a safety leash. He began with the kite already launched, set his feet into the bindings, and started forward immediately. The session ended with a clean stop and a walk ashore, board in hand, with the kite airborne throughout. No pause, kite relaunch, or equipment change occurred.

The session was observed by independent witnesses onshore, with safety support from a Zodiac-class inflatable motorboat. It was documented on video and in photographs, recorded in the ship’s log, and confirmed by witness testimony. According to INTERRECORD, this body of evidence meets the requirements of the applied record-verification methodology for both categories.

About the athlete

Kuzmin was 16 years and 255 days old when the records were set. He took up kiting, diving, and skiing with his father, who introduced him to extreme sports in childhood. The family traveled to Antarctica with kitesurfing and diving equipment, and also spent New Year’s underwater during the same trip.

“For me, this is not just a sporting result, but the realization of our family’s shared love of exploring the world and mastering the elements,” said Aleksandr Kuzmin.

Registration and recognition

The records are registered in two systems: the Register of Records of Russia (RRR-37607-2026), the national records registrar, and INTERRECORD, the International Record Registration System, which granted the achievements official Interrecord (INR) status.

Vladislav Kopylov, Chairman of INTERRECORD, said: “This record demonstrates a new level of development in extreme sports and establishes Antarctica as a full-fledged venue for setting world-class achievements.” The age benchmark set by the record provides a reference point for future attempts in the category.

AI TradeBoom has launched an enhanced version of its AI-powered copy-trading platform, giving eligible users access to multiple automated strategies with selectable risk levels and copy settings.

Australia, 29th Aug 2026 – AI TradeBoom, an AI-powered copy-trading platform, today announced the introduction of its enhanced platform designed to give eligible users a more structured and transparent way to engage in strategy-based trading. The platform allows users to select from a range of automated trading strategies and mirror trades directly into their connected AnshinFX MT5 accounts.

Built around the principles of systematic execution, transparency and risk awareness, AI TradeBoom is designed for traders who want exposure to automated strategies while retaining visibility and control over their own accounts.

A key element of the platform is its capital-preservation-focused approach. Selected strategies are designed to avoid emotional trading and unnecessary market chasing by relying on predefined entry conditions, exit rules, stop-loss mechanisms and controlled market exposure. The intent is to manage downside risk and support more disciplined execution. This approach is a risk-management objective only, and it does not guarantee principal or eliminate the possibility of loss.

AI TradeBoom offers multiple automated strategies, each operating within a different internal risk level. Before selecting a strategy, users can review available historical performance, the underlying trading approach and associated risk information, allowing them to choose a strategy and copy multiplier suited to their personal risk tolerance.

Key features include:

  • Multiple AI-powered strategies with different trading styles and internal risk levels
  • Risk Level 1 strategies designed with more conservative internal parameters
  • Predefined entry, exit and stop-loss rules
  • User-controlled copy modes and multipliers
  • Trades mirrored directly into the user’s connected AnshinFX MT5 account
  • Open and closed positions available for users to monitor
  • AI TradeBoom does not directly hold or custody client funds
  • Users can adjust their settings or stop copying, subject to open positions and account conditions

Through this forex technology structure, AI TradeBoom aims to make strategy-based trading more accessible and transparent. Users are able to monitor strategy activity directly through MT5, observe how systematic strategies respond to different market conditions, and gradually build a clearer understanding of trading and personal risk management over time.

“Our goal with this platform update is to give users more clarity and control over how automated strategies are applied to their accounts,” said a spokesperson for AI TradeBoom. “By keeping execution, monitoring and fund custody separate and visible through MT5, we want traders to feel informed at every step, not just along for the ride.”

Risk Disclosure

The capital-preservation-focused approach described above reflects a risk-management objective and is not a guarantee of principal. Forex and CFD trading involves a substantial risk of loss. Automated and copy trading do not guarantee profits, and past performance does not predict future results.

About AI TradeBoom

AI TradeBoom is an AI-powered copy-trading platform built around systematic execution, transparency and risk awareness. The platform enables eligible users to select from multiple automated trading strategies and mirror trades into their connected AnshinFX MT5 accounts, with all trading activity viewable directly through MT5. From Sour Patch Kids and Warheads to Skittles, Trolli, Sour Punch and Mexican-inspired candy, Noubs enters a crowded category with a fresh, interactive flavor experience built around sour strips and Chamoy.

LOS ANGELES, CA — August 29, 2026 — The candy aisle has seen its share of legendary names, but a new generation of candy is challenging consumers to experience flavor differently.

Enter Noubs Candy — a rapidly emerging candy brand built around one simple idea: candy should be more than something you eat. It should be an experience.

With its signature combination of chewy sour candy and bold Chamoy dipping sauce, Noubs brings together sweet, sour, salty and spicy flavors in a way designed to deliver a completely different kind of candy experience.

Dip. Bite. Experience.

That is the Noubs philosophy.

And the brand believes the next big name in candy may already be here.

A New Contender in a Legendary Candy Category

For decades, brands including Skittles, Starburst, Sour Patch Kids, Warheads, Trolli, Sour Punch, Airheads, Haribo, Nerds, Jolly Rancher and Swedish Fish have helped define the American candy landscape.

In the sour-candy world, Warheads, Toxic Waste and other extreme-sour brands have built reputations around intensity, while Mexican-inspired brands and products from names such as Lucas, Vero and De La Rosa have helped bring sweet, sour, salty and spicy flavor combinations to a broader audience.

Noubs enters that conversation with a different proposition.

Instead of asking consumers to choose between sweet, sour or spicy, Noubs puts multiple flavor sensations into one experience.

Its signature products pair chewy sour strips with Chamoy — a Mexican sauce combining sweet, sour, salty and spicy characteristics — allowing consumers to dip, customize and experience their candy in a completely different way.

Fresh Flavor. Bold Experience. Serious Candy.

Noubs Super Strips are designed around the idea that the perfect candy bite should keep evolving.

The experience begins with chewy, fruity sour strips. Then comes the sour sugar. Then the Chamoy.

The result is a progression of flavors rather than a one-note candy experience.

Noubs Berry Blast Super Strips, for example, combine blue raspberry and strawberry sour strips with a tangy Chamoy dip, creating a combination of fruity, sour and spicy flavors.

The brand also offers Dip & Drip varieties, including Mango and Watermelon, expanding the Noubs experience across different fruit-forward flavor profiles.

For consumers who grew up eating sour belts, fruit chews and colorful gummies, Noubs takes that nostalgia and pushes it somewhere new.

The Candy Aisle Is Changing — And Noubs Wants to Lead It

Today’s candy consumer is looking for more than traditional sweetness.

Social media has helped accelerate interest in sour, spicy, international and highly visual candy experiences, while consumers increasingly seek products that are as fun to share as they are to eat.

Noubs was created for that environment.

The brand’s combination of bright fruit flavors, chewy sour strips and Chamoy creates a product designed to be tasted, dipped, shared and talked about.

And while established brands such as Sour Patch Kids, Warheads, Trolli, Sour Punch, Skittles and others have built enormous followings, Noubs is betting that there is room for a new category of candy experience.

Not just sour.

Not just sweet.

Not just spicy.

Noubs.

A Brand Built for the Next Generation of Candy Lovers

Noubs is positioning itself as more than another candy company.

The brand’s vision is to build a recognizable candy culture around bold flavors, nostalgia and experimentation — creating products that consumers can discover and enjoy in their own way.

Its retail presence is already expanding through IT’SUGAR, where Noubs products are featured alongside established candy favorites and other emerging confectionery products.

The move places Noubs directly into one of the country’s most recognizable specialty candy environments and puts the young brand alongside the kinds of products that candy enthusiasts actively seek out.

Challenging the Status Quo

Noubs isn’t claiming that the candy industry needs another ordinary sour strip.

It believes consumers deserve something different.

Something fresher.

Something more exciting.

Something that delivers multiple layers of flavor in a single bite.

While Sour Patch Kids owns a powerful sweet-and-sour identity, Warheads has become synonymous with extreme sourness, and brands such as Trolli, Sour Punch, Skittles and Haribo have established themselves across different segments of the candy market, Noubs is carving out its own lane through the combination of sour candy and Chamoy.

The brand’s goal is ambitious:

To become one of the world’s most exciting candy companies and one of the names consumers associate with the next evolution of candy.

More Than Candy — An Experience

Noubs believes the future of candy isn’t necessarily about making candy sweeter.

It’s about making it more interesting.

The brand’s signature formula — sweet, sour, salty and spicy — gives consumers a chance to create their own perfect bite.

And that is ultimately what makes Noubs different.

You don’t just eat Noubs. You dip it. Bite it. Experience it.

With new flavors and limited-edition drops planned, the Noubs lineup is built to continue evolving alongside the consumers who love bold flavors and new experiences.

As the candy industry continues to expand into bold flavors, international influences and highly interactive products, Noubs is stepping forward with a clear message to candy lovers everywhere:

GET SOUR. GET SPICY. GET NOUBS.

The fifth edition will take place from April 19–21, 2027, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, continuing its legacy as World’s premier Web3 summit.

The Hong Kong Web3 Festival 2027 (“the Festival”) is scheduled to be held from April 19 to 21, 2027, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). Co-hosted by Wanxiang Blockchain Labs and HashKey Group, and organized by W3ME, the Festival has been a flagship annual event since its inaugural edition in April 2023. Running for five consecutive years, it has grown into a globally recognized gathering that connects developers, project teams, investors, regulators, and ecosystem stakeholders to explore the latest trends, industrial breakthroughs, and the evolving future of Web3.

Over its past four editions, the Festival has showcased more than 500 exhibitors, featured over 1,600 thought leaders, attracted upwards of 150,000 attendees, and hosted more than 600 side events. The speaker lineup has consistently included some of the most influential figures in finance, technology, and policy, such as:

  • Paul CHAN Mo-po, Financial Secretary of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region
  • XIAO Feng, Chairman of Wanxiang Blockchain, Chairman and CEO of HashKey Group
  • Vitalik Buterin, Co-Founder of Ethereum
  • Cathie Wood, Founder, CEO and CIO of ARK Invest
  • Michael Faulkender, Professor of Finance, University of Maryland
  • CZ, Founder of Binance
  • Sergey Nazarov, Co-Founder of Chainlink
  • Bo Feng, Founder of Dragonfly.xyz
  • Hong Fang, President of OKX
  • He Yi, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Binance
  • Sandeep Nailwal, Co-Founder of Polygon
  • Lily Liu, President of Solana Foundation
  • Avery Ching, Co-Founder and CTO of Aptos Labs
  • Yat Siu, Co-Founder and Chairman of Animoca Brands

Over the past four editions, the Festival has borne witness to the industry’s evolution—from foundational infrastructure development to the early stages of mass adoption. During this same period, Hong Kong’s virtual asset ecosystem has matured considerably. Regulatory frameworks have advanced, compliant stablecoins have moved from regulatory approval toward commercial deployment, tokenized deposits and digital assets have entered real-world pilot programs, and asset tokenization has drawn growing participation from traditional financial institutions and regulated trading platforms.

As the industry enters a new phase of growth, several pivotal questions are coming to the forefront: How can tokenization transition from proof-of-concept to scalable real-world use? How can the full lifecycle of asset issuance, circulation, and trading be more seamlessly integrated? As stablecoin payments and on-chain settlement gain momentum, how will global financial infrastructure be reshaped? And as artificial intelligence continues to transform industries worldwide, how will the convergence of AI and blockchain unlock novel applications and ecosystem opportunities?

These are no longer abstract debates. They are tangible challenges that the industry must address today. In April 2027, the Festival will convene builders, investors, regulators, and researchers across the globe to share insights and chart the next chapter of Web3 development.

The official website will be launched shortly. Early-bird tickets for a limited time are now available at a special rate of $169 USD via Luma: https://luma.com/hkweb3festival_2027. Applications for speakers, sponsorships, media partnerships, community collaborations, and side events will be rolled out in phases. Stay tuned for updates.

Coffee Journal, an independent South African specialty coffee publication founded in 2026, has launched its new Coffee Map,

Randvaal Meyerton, Gauteng, South Africa, 28th Aug 2026Coffee Journal, an independent South African specialty coffee publication founded in 2026, has launched its new Coffee Map, a digital resource designed to help readers discover specialty coffee roasters and cafes across South Africa. The map expands the publication’s mission of documenting the country’s coffee scene by giving coffee drinkers, home brewers and travelers a more practical way to explore businesses by location and category.

According to Coffee Journal, the platform was created to provide a more centralized starting point for people looking to find noteworthy coffee destinations beyond major urban centers. The specialty coffee map already features roasters and cafes from multiple regions, including Sasolburg, Bloemfontein, the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands, Gqeberha, George, Dullstroom, Howick, Jeffreys Bay and Hoedspruit. By organizing listings in one place, the tool is intended to make South Africa’s specialty coffee landscape more visible and easier to navigate.

Coffee Journal describes itself as an independent publication that reviews roasters, tests water, publishes brew guides and maintains a transparency-based trust-score system without roaster funding or brand partnerships. That editorial positioning gives the new coffee discovery platform added relevance for readers seeking information from a publication that emphasizes independence rather than paid placement.

“The goal of Coffee Journal has been to build a central home for South Africa’s specialty coffee scene,” said Bibi Burness, founder of Coffee Journal. “The Coffee Map is a practical extension of that work because it helps readers move from reading about coffee culture to actually discovering the cafes and roasters shaping it.”

The map launch comes at a time when specialty coffee communities increasingly rely on digital discovery tools to find local roasters, destination cafes and regional coffee experiences. For South African consumers, that need is especially relevant because standout coffee businesses are often spread across provinces and smaller towns rather than concentrated in a single market. Coffee Journal’s South African coffee guide positions the map as part of a broader effort to make the country’s coffee ecosystem more accessible to both enthusiasts and newcomers.

In its current form, the Coffee Map presents a mix of roasters and cafes in a directory-style format, with individual listing pages available for selected businesses. The tool highlights the diversity of South Africa’s coffee scene, from established roasteries to destination cafes in smaller towns and tourism corridors. That geographic spread may help readers identify new coffee stops for travel, weekend trips and regional exploration, while also increasing visibility for independent operators outside the largest metros.

The launch also supports Coffee Journal’s broader editorial strategy. In addition to the map, the publication offers brew guides and coffee-focused articles intended to help readers learn more about making and understanding coffee. The addition of a map creates a stronger link between education and discovery by giving readers a way to connect written content with real-world coffee experiences.

As an independent platform founded in 2026, Coffee Journal has framed its brand around curiosity, transparency and learning. The publication’s “coffee amateur” perspective, as described on its website, is aimed at documenting the South African specialty coffee scene in an accessible way rather than speaking from a purely industry-insider position. That tone may help the new map appeal to a broad audience that includes casual coffee drinkers, home espresso users and more experienced specialty coffee followers.

Coffee Journal said the Coffee Map is intended to keep evolving as the publication continues documenting the South African coffee landscape. Readers interested in exploring featured cafes and roasters can visit the Coffee Journal website or browse the Coffee Map directly.
